Say What?

Say What? from the issue July/August 2008

Hi Roger;

I received the voicemail you left as well as the 2 issues of MMM – THANKS!

I am a subscriber already. We are a small manufacturer of fiberglass saddlebags and touring trailers in Hamilton and are proud to be Canadian. Our Marketing has been focused ‘on-line’ and we have quite a good following both in USA and Canada.

I am very impressed with your new magazine. I think it has a better format with which to deliver the important points of interest, knowledge ideas and, of course, the photos and ads. You folks don’t have an equal; not only is your perspective Canuck but you bring me closer to the real countryside I love to see and feel.

Thanks Roger,

Bart

Glenn and Roger,

Great to meet you at the Biker Bash in Halifax. I was up late reading your back issues. Great great stuff.

Greetings,

Just a note to say thank you very much for the coverage on “The Journeyman” and for providing us with several copies of the issue.

Very much appreciated.

Hey Folks,

Wanted to say thanks for printing our press release on the ‘Journeyman.’

Also feel I need to clarify, the top honours thing.

Although we did win the Best Engine Award, which I am very proud of, we got ‘Outstanding’ in the North American Radical Custom Class – that means Second Place.

The Class winners get ‘Best.’ My apologies to the winners, somehow something got lost in the translation to our marketing people.

Thanks Rich Burgess

Hi there Gwen and Glenn,

Just wanted to drop you a line to let you know just how impressed I was/am with your magazine. I attended the REV VIP night last Friday (purchased the Pearl white Ducati Monster 696) and had the pleasure of meeting the both of you – Gwen was kind enough to give me a copy of your magazine which I read over on the GO train home to Oakville. A real pleasure to read, you have a real variety of interesting topics, something for everyone.

Gwen, you mentioned that there was an article in one of the earlier issues which touched on a shelter or something like that. I don’t have a garage and you mentioned that this might be good for me to store my bike. Any other options or suggestions would be welcome.

Take care and bye for now,

Marcy B

Hi Marcy

We are glad you enjoyed the magazine and hope you find a place to store that new bike. Ride Inn is the product I was mentioning to you (www.rideinn.ca). Your garden shed is also a good option. If all else fails I hear living rooms also work well for storage, but then you have more to dust. Have a fun summer.

Gwen

Hello,

Saw your notice in the Mar/Apr 08 issue inviting folks to e-mail for more info on bike travel articles one might submit for consideration. Can I get those details from you? Have been reading your mag for a couple of years, and enjoy the new format and variety of viewpoints and riding perspectives included. Regards, Laura Ballem

Hi Laura

Good question, you can send articles to glenn@motorcyclemojo.com and someone at our office will have a look at them and get back to you.

Glenn

To: Lesley

Thank you for that article ‘Road Guardians’ that was published in Motorcycle Mojo.

That was without question the most poetic writing I have read that explains life and motorcycles.

As well as the people who touch us and the people we touch along our journey called life.

Thank you, it put a Harley sized lump in my throat when I read it.

Ray

I love your magazine! I do not have a subscription as I figure purchasing it locally helps support you and our local retailer.

I would like to know what Canadian insurance company is willing to insure a custom-built motorcycle.

Can you help me with this? All these great Canadian customs that grace your pages must have insurance coverage.

I would greatly appreciate any information you could provide.

Best Regards, Todd

Hi Todd

There are three insurance advertisers in this issue and another in the Partner Distribution Listing – I can only suggest that you try them all and see what rates they offer suitable for your specific bike. Glenn

Hi Glenn,

Nice to finally meet you last weekend.

Got the latest issue with the Nova Scotia map yesterday. It looks fantastic! In fact, it’s a big improvement on the original with all the detailing. The layout and text really set it off nicely, too. Glad to hear you’re going to get to NS this year. Hope the riding weather is better than last year!

Dave Cox

Glenn,

We received the copies of the May/June issue. The article on the 1923 H-D was great and the pictures turned out perfect. I can’t wait for Dave to get home so he can see it!

Thanks again!

Sue Johnston

Hi,

First off, I just wanted to say your magazine is awesome. I always look forward to getting my new issue in the mail.

Also, just wanted to mention this website. You may have seen it already. I just think what they are doing is awesome and thought I’d send you an FYI. These two gentlemen departed Calgary mid-May on their motorcycles for an across the world adventure to raise money for Street Kids International. Full details including when they are rolling through Ontario are on the website:

Keep up the great work,

Regards, Tracy

About the UNO article

The Uno article has had a response beyond our imagination. We have sent photos to Sky News in the UK, ABC News, as well as Germany, Africa, Brazil, USA etc. see some of the emails also on this page.

If you google Uno on the internet, most sites will direct you to the Mojo website. There are a couple of people using our photos and taking the credit, but for the most part we were fortunate to have most people being honest and directing those interested back to our site.

Hi Glenn, I just wanted to thank you for the article. It is really nice and I am definitely excited to be on the cover.

Ben

Hi, I am writing from Sky TV in the UK. We are trying to get hold of some stills of the ‘Uno Motorcycle’ for use on Five News today. We were wondering if you would be able to provide us with some stills of the motorbike and we would be happy to credit your website/magazine. If you could respond ASAP I would really appreciate it.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Kind Regards, Kirsten Blatcher

Dear Glenn,

Nice speaking to you. This is to confirm that ABC News would like to obtain some pictures of the Uno cycle featured in your magazine plus any copy you may have describing the bike.

It would be greatly appreciated if you could email the info to me and copy my colleagues. They can also then contact you as well. If you do obtain video please let us know.

Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards
