_MG_2777_smThe Triumph Rocket  III motorcycle was equipped with a Motor Trike conversion kit and a Carpenter Racing engine kit that pumps up the inline-triple’s power to 250 horsepower.

The three-wheeler was ridden to an FIM world record of 136 mph by Klock Werks founder and president Brian Klock.

Klock Werks is a manufacturer and distributor of motorcycle accessories and is located in Mitchell, South Dakota. The Klock Werks team has set more than 20 land speed records since 2006.

Motor Trike Inc. is located in Troup, Texas and manufactures solid axle and independent suspension trike conversion kits for motorcycles.

“The Triumph Rocket III is the ultimate trike motor as it sits,” said Klock in a press release, “then Carpenter Racing turned it into a 250 horsepower full blown hot rod.”

The world record is currently pending FIM ratification.
