Long time Calgary dealer Walt Healy closing

October 16 2013

Walt Healy Motorsports, a Calgary institution since 1931, announced it will be closing its doors next year.

walthealy-info1Founded by Walt Healy in 1931, the dealership that bears his name claims to be the oldest in Calgary. Healy was an avid motorcyclist and began by selling and servicing Indian motorcycles.

Healy passed away in 2002, but the dealership continued to thrive and today carries Husaberg, Suzuki and Yamaha motorcycles. The announcement of the upcoming closure was posted on the company’s website.

Doors will be closing on March 31, 2014, and in the meantime, everything under the roof will be liquidated.

That includes current inventory of motorcycles, parts and accessories, as well as shop equipment. Sales of new bikes will continue until March 15, pending delivery guarantees by manufacturers before March 31.

Service will still be offered until closing. You can find out more here.
