Harley for Heroes Raffle - Support our Troops
Location: Selected Harley Davidson Dealers in Ontario
Cost: $25.00 per ticket
Organization: Canadian Forces Personnel and Family Support Services
Web: http://http://www.cfpsa.com/en/CANEX/HH1_e.asp
The Harley for Heroes raffle is a new way for people from across Ontario to show their support for the brave men and women who serve with the Canadian Forces (CF) and get a chance to win a one of a kind custom Harley-Davidson.
A spectacular "Support our Troops" 2009 Harley-Davidson Road King motorcycle has been donated by Deeley Harley-Davidson Canada. Working with the artist Roger Pouw of Extreme Measures Kustom Paint, this custom motorcycle comes alive and speaks to the tremendous contributions that current and past Members of the Canadian Forces have made in support of Canada.
Tickets are only $25 and with only 10,000 tickets available the chances of winning are excellent. Tickets are available at all CANEX locations in Ontario, as well as selected Harley-Davidson dealerships. The motorcycle is a one-of-a-kind rolling icon in support for our troops. It features a cream, red and black design highlighted throughout by subtle maple leaves. Support Our Troops symbols adorn areas of the bike. Most notably are the crest of the Canadian Forces on the front fender and a life-like red poppy image and the words Lest we forget on the rear. The saddle bags pay tribute to the Highway of Heroes and feature the Canadian Support Our Troops Yellow Ribbon image. Even the central Harley-Davidson emblem on the tank is adorned with a red maple leaf. This motorcycle is sure to be the envy of all riders.
Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Military Families Fund. The Fund is an official, agile and responsive means for Base and Wing Commanders of the Canadian Forces to help military families deal with unforeseen and often immediate needs resulting from the unique conditions of military service.
(Lotto Licence: 2491)

Cost: $0.00 Yes that's right FREE
Organization: Perfect Pigs MC for the Wounded Warriors Fund
Phone: (905) 448-3367
Web: http://www.heroshighwayride.com
E-mail: lou@heroshighwayride.com
In December 2008, we eclipsed the unfortunate spectre of 100 Canadian casualties and as you are aware that number has continued to climb. That dreadful statistic has compelled me to organize a demonstration, some small gesture of support for our troops that continue to serve abroad, acknowledging our appreciation for their continued vigilance. Thus, the Hero's Highway Ride was born. From the start, it was determined that the Hero's Highway Ride would be FREE to all participants. An event and opportunity for us to, not only to show support of our Canadian Forces, but an occasion to highlight the commitment, perseverance, compassion and courage that our serving men and women continue to demonstrate during those dangerous and difficult operations abroad. Of equal importance is our desire to seek support for the Sapper Mike McTeague Wounded Warriors Fund, a charity that directly assists soldiers injured during military operations, by requesting that all bikers in attendance voluntarily drop a donation in our collection bucket, located at the registration table, with all donations presented to the Wounded Warriors Fund following the ride. We also extend an open invitation to other military based charities to join our event so that they also have the opportunity to raise funds. It is hoped that the Heroes Highway Ride, although not a charity ride in the traditional sense, is significant in its cause. Therefore, I would like to extend the opportunity of joining this extraordinary event thus expanding the Hero's Highway Ride message and to assist us in this demonstration of pride and patriotism for our Canadian heroes. We organize at the 10 Acre Truck Stop located just off Hwy. 401 at Exit 538, just east of Trenton. We require a waiver be signed but there is no registration fee although we ask for a voluntary donation to the Wounded Warriors Fund that will be presented to Captain Wayne Johnston of the WWF at the end of the ride. Visit our website for updated information.
