After I had picked up my paper this morning I was sitting in my car in the drive-through at MacDonald's patiently waiting for a coffee and listening to Neil Young on the radio when I thought that here it is half way through January and I haven`t done a single motorcycle related thing this year. So when I had my order I went to Shoppers Drugmart and bought a copy of Motocycle Mojo. I only mention this as I`m a firm believer that any post here should have some motorcycle content.
Like some devoted dog that has been abandoned at the roadside by an callous and uncaring owner I`m looking for a friendly face and a kind word. Actually someone pulled the plug on the forum that I normaly use so please take me in.

Always room for one of the unwanted and unappreciated Mr. Slo. You'll find a few of your long time friends are already here; I'm personally glad you joined. The Mojo forum is still relatively new and consequently on the slow side of things - she's like a newly launched ship and is taking a while to find her legs, but the crew is improving every day. So pull up a chair and tell us what you've been up to.

Welcome to the site, thinking about motorcycling helps make the winter shorter. I have been planning our summer vacation, a bike trip.
Have a great day

Hi Slo, welcome to the Mojo forum, I'm another from the other place. I hope you made it to one of the recent bike shows. It helps to quell the symptoms of parked motorcycle syndrome and there were plenty of deals like a reduced rate for a subscription to their mag. I still have to read one of the two free issues they included with my subscription.

I've sometimes been called fast but I'm not as fast as I once was. Welcome to the forum my antonym friend.

It's good to see some familiar people here. Hello to all from the defunct CC forum, Smiley here. And hello to the ones I don't know.
My background> 40+ years riding (geezer). Last year realized that my Connie was too heavy, too thirsty and too fast for my license. Sold it and bought a Kaw. Versys. Love the light weight, short wheelbase and upright posture. Great bike in town, flickable as the saying goes. Unfaired bikes slow me down some, I find myself cruising at 100~ 110 instead of the 125 on the Conc. Still have the odd burst of acceleration (exhilaration!) and generally do the ton on most rides (sticking it to The Man!) but only in remote areas. Still the hoolie.
I must say that the Versys is the most fun bike I have ridden in many years.
In capable hands the V can humble sportbikes. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nDcOz7oOVM&feature=player_embedded

Welcome aboard.
Just a heads up Smiley but it seems that they are a bit touchy about the C.C. forum around here. I think that we are supposed to call it "that other place":D

Welcome Slo, sorry my greetings arrive a few months late. Hopefully you've braved the winter well, do you have any plans for the coming riding season?
