Nice to be ahead of that Uwe. It's a slim margin, but who knows what can happen...

Maybe you should have got yourself a Greyhound instead.

It's way to early to draw any conclusions, and I'm not worried (yet) that my nemesis is in first place. I did get concerned when I saw Slo's picks; he played it safe and made all the right choice. However, if there's one thing that can be predicted, it is that life is unpredictable.

Just like in my Nascar pool, pulling up the rear.

I dunno, are they as easily bored as border collie labrador crosses? When watching racing on TV Jo tries to figure out how to climb into the TV so she can heard the bikes. When that doesn't work she just goes to sleep.

Lots going on for the race at Estoril on Sunday. With two good races to start the season and with only a one week break since Spain the next one at Estoril could be something special. Look out for a Monster tech 3 Yamaha on the podium, especially if Stoner`s arm acts up after just one week`s rest, and a win for Little Dani.

P.S. I don`t want to see anyone crashing out but a DNF from one of the top three would open up our MotoGP pool.

Hey, as long as that DNF is either Stoner or Lorenzo, I'm fine with it.

I have to admit that there wasn't any gloating on your part Slo. I fully expected a taunt or two now that you've taken the top of the hill; maybe you're just too aware that fortunes can be won or lost at the hands of fate and that these racers follow an unpredictable path? Regardless, it's going to be a tight season. All it took was Lorenzo's inability to pass Stoner in the final laps to decide who would occupy first place in our pool. Now that's racing.

Hey Uwe, where can I find the picks I made with a badly tossed dart? Watched the half of the race that Nascarvision allowed us to see (obviously of less importance than seeing the umpteenth re-run of the "wrecks" reported by crackers with really bad accents and thin pony-tailed has-beens) but I can't remember all the details of my choices with aforementioned dart!! Where are our picks located? Thanks.

Smiley, everyone's picks have been posted in this thread: http://www.motorcyclemojo.com/forum/showthread.php?193-MotoGP-Pool-Selection-List

(http://www.motorcyclemojo.com/forum/showthread.php?193-MotoGP-Pool-Selection-List)I hate to say it, but you really didn't miss much when it came to the MotoGP race. I'm hoping the LeMans round will be more entertaining.

The Dutch TT from Assen goes on Saturday and is covered live on Speed in the morning with a repeat later on Saturday evening.
With a third of the season in the books things are going quite well for the top players but I think that Stoner must start to win races and claw back some of Lorenzo`s 25 point lead sooner rather than later if he wants the title.

Or Jorge can just fall off on lap one and let Casey take 25 points to tie the series.

Although Lorenzo`s crash had a major impact on the championship race it had little effect on the MMM pool as suprisingly no-one picked him as their number one man. Pedrosa yes:confused: but not Lorenzo, go figure.

The Assen GP was the first I have been able to watch this season. I am either working on Sunday mornings, or completely forget about the races and miss the telecast. Last night I was surfing around and was happy to come across the repeat showing.

The race in Germany had to be the most exciting contest of the year so far with the drama building right up to the last lap and even though my man went down chasing Pedrosa to the finish my congratulations go to Little Dani for a great win.
So, with two of the top three in the championship having crashed out in the last two races we have a new, although temporary, leader in the MMM pool with Uwe in the top spot.

New leader? Nah, I just regained the lead. And hey, I've almost always posted the standings right after each race!

I knew going with Dani was going to be a bit of a long shot, but it was a risk that was worth taking. Hopefully this win will give him a little more confidence to scrap for first instead of settling for a podium finish.

Realy.

Come on Casey, have your surgery and get a re-enforced boot so you can get back to racing. Talk to Mick Doohan, stop whining and feeling sorry for yourself and get back out there sooner rather that later, you`re world champion after all.
