Best roads in North America by far. Just got back from 2 weeks down there and rode almost every road in the smokies. Not a bad road anywhere. Anyone want any information about where to go just drop me an e-mail. You wont be disapointed

Did you spend any time in Shady Valley? I've always preferred US 421; it's quieter, but just as exciting as the Deals Gap area.

We didn't get a chance do do the snake (421). Was on it a few years ago. Stayed away from the dragon on the weekend's, to crazy but managed to run it 6 times through the week. Ran the 28 top to bottom, cherahoola a few times, 441 from cherokee to gatlinburgh, 73 across to townsend, the road to nowhere out of Bryson city, and many other roads. 3600 km's in 12 days with a lot of stops and site seeing.

Some day, some day.... not finished with Canada yet but the Dragon is on the list.
Glad you had a great time.

I was down in the area in May. I was coming from Charlotte and rode the Hellbender 23 on the way to Fontanna Village for the night (great meal and cold beer there). Got on Deal's Gap at 7 am and only 1 other car on the entire ride north. I ahve not been so giddy on the bike in a long time! Need to spend some quality time down there as I too have heard these aren't even the best roads! Now just need to find some time!

It is on my to do list. Almost went this year but chose Newfoundland instead. Lots from our club have gone, some numerous times. Grueling trip to get there from NB. Maybe next year for me?

Grueling trip to get there from NB.

That's the biggest problem with all motorcycle travel. The time it takes to reach and then return from an area you want to explore can often consume your allotted vacation time.

Tennessee, western North Carolina, Georgia...pick a road, any road, they are all great. Check out Roan Mountain State Park some day. Fantastic!
