You're going to like the longer days in that part of the world. They're a bit short in the winter though so you may find yourself on a snow machine for part of the year, just to "keep your hand in". I understand they have paved the road from Grand Prairie to Hinton now, That will shorten the trip to the true mountains if it has been, although it was an OK road when it wasn't paved.

You're about a day from the Kootenays where the real good roads are if you're in Grand Prairie.

Congratulations on being retired, I'm jealous, I have 17 months to go.

So, I'm off Monday in the general direction of El Paso Texas. The reason for that is that will be the start point for the Three Flags Classic Rally. The end will be Nelson BC this year.

I am looking forward to the trip down as well since I will be able to ride both the Moki Dugway in Utah and Highway 191 in Arizona between Alpine and Morenci. It is possible I will be able to afford the time for a side trip to Pie Town New Mexico as well. I can't yet say for sure whether the 100 miles between Alpine and Morenci has a density of twisties to rival the Dragon's Tale but I am hoping to try that out soon. The road is toxic to motor homes and transport trucks which would recommend it in any case.

Have a fun and safe trip and remember to post some photos so the rest of us can be jealous.

Thank you for that. I will definitely have pictures. I've learned my lesson about cheap batteries.

Enjoy your trip! Even though I've had a good share of riding this summer, I'm envious of your adventure. Sadly, it's time to get back to work.
Let us know what you think of the roads and such, always looking for a new trip to plan.

    Ride safe!

Well, I'm back, (just got in, waiting for the hot water tank to get hot again.) Re. the back to work thing, I've always felt it was unfair that we all have to prostitute ourselves to the corporate world just so we can afford a few measly toys.

Pictures to follow when I've had a chance to deal with them.

Looking forward to trip report, BL and photos too. I have been busy working which really gets in the way of fun. One more year, one more year...
