I think the financial stability VW brings may be good, if they can allow Ducati to run with autonomy. For myself out of pure need of a job if they open up Ducati sales in every VW dealer i might get a job there as there is one close by.

That might take a while, but as you already know, it's also a highly unlikely scenario.

One thing is for sure: Audi (VW) beat BMW to owning a MotoGP prototype machine.

Looking at the history of Ducati (the marque) ownership, at this point in time Im glad it is not owned by the Italian Govt.
