Quick Trip to Vancouver Island.

Four day trip to VI. Left Williams Lake in the fog. Came home in the rain. At least my tomato plant didn't die.

There was sun most of the time. The rain and fog were just brackets for the rest of it.

My other alternative is the Fraser Canyon. The canyon is a nice road too but then, if you are going to VI, you are stuck with Highway #1 from Hope to Horseshoe Bay. BORING! The Duffy Lake Road, (AKA highway 99) is way better. It also has the virtue of being unpopular with cagers.

Just for everyone's information, the Beastly Ferry terminal in Horseshoe Bay is the only civilized one in the system. It is the only one where you can go into the village. At all the rest of them you are stuck in the terminal. If you just miss the boat that's a real snoozer.
