Harley-Davidson announces the 110th Anniversary Celebration, including a bike blessing by Pope Benedict XVI.
Harley Davidson will hold a year-long celebration for its 110th anniversary at 13 locations worldwide. Celebrations will take place in 11 countries, spanning Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and North and South America. Sadly, Canada is not on the list of countries where celebrations take place, though Canadians can ride to nearby Sturgis, South Dakota or Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the events taking place there.
The event in Milwaukee is actually one of the highlights, the other being held in Rome, Italy, where Pope Benedict XVI will hold a bike blessing inside St. Peter’s Square, Vatican City.
The celebrations began on September 4 in Austria and will wrap up on September 19, 2013 in Malaysia. Dates and locations are listed below.
